Travelling to the Islands.

Bye, bye, Malaysia. Hello, Gulf of Siam!

Waiter, someone has pinched my pipe!

Arrival in Koh Tao. Note the sturdy pier.

Ready to get in some serious UV.

Penang. Weird, but we loved it.

Dames is a friend to the butterflies.

Julia is a friend to the lizards.

And we were worried about the cockroaches in our bathroom.

Julia selects a Romulan ale.

Starfleet pride.

Damian Vs Predator.
Damian is the one in beige.

Julia demonstrates.

Rat-a-tat-tat!

Not the sort of sights we were expecting to see.

Oh, look: they're at it again.

Krabi (NB. This is not in Chingford).

Ahoy there!

Paula puts us to pool shame.

Hmm. And what comes with the Fois Gras?

Luxury in Ao Nang.

Why is Damian taking pictures of himself in the lavatory?

The wind in our hair.
The salt on our chips.
The sunblock in our eyes.
Yup. We're on holiday, for sure.

Our trip to the beach.

Our beach.

Our view.

Our Dames.

Yes. It's like this a lot.
Don't you wish you were here?

Ma Browne Hits Bangkok Running.

Hello Ma!
Here we are at the Royal Palace. A scorching hot day taking in the Culture. Right up until the moment it tipped down with rain.
Hey ho, life in the Tropics...

Late night drinking in a funky little bar called Eaux de Vivre. Quirky rock'n'roll on the stereo; clientele almost exclusively Thai; friendly staff; decent art on the walls. We came back here a week ago - it's closed down. Sigh.

Jules and Paula have an Abbey Road moment. Hang on: this isn't St John's Wood.

Tourist moment at the Reclining Buddha.
40 metres long and peaceful-looking.

Dames gets into the reclining vibe.

Paula wins the Think While you Drink game. Again.

Dames: "Michael Hasselhof! Hic!"

A Birthday Bash in Bangkok

That's right! It's Julia's numpty-thingst birthday and all of Banglumpoo is out on the razz!

The first of many to quench the thirst of many.

Before setting out, Dames spent some time perfecting his garden gnome look (very popular with the ladies, y'know).

This is my bestest birthday present ever. How did you know?

The Koa Sarn Road livens up as Jules leads the carousing.

This was once full of Zombie cocktail. Where has it all gone?

Borneo for breakfast.

This Chinese-style street is know as India Street. Go figure.
Here, Julia imitates the Waving Cat of Prosperity. Mee-oww!

Damian looks almost, but not quite, entirely unlike Freddy Mecury. Gallieo!

Ah. The Kuching Cat Museum. Who knew?

The ancient skills of taxidermy - here represented at their pinnacle.

Watch out! Oh, for a moment there, I thought he was alive.
Much hilarity at the Cat Museum.

As we partook of our habitual sight-seeing, we were suddenly aware of a barely suppressed aggressive purring. Seconds after this photo was taken, we were attacked and licked viciously by the much-feared Biker Cats of Kuching - out for revenge for our sniggering ridicule in the quite, quite lovely Cat Museum.

The view from our bed in the city of Miri, Sarawak. I'm suprised we ever left, frankly.

Strike! Julia spanks Dames in yet another game.

We love this man. He makes us rotis for breakfast.

Julia tucks in to her breakfast curry. NB the curry stain on her top already.
